Dolakha spring flows again after three years of recharge work
A spring that had dropped to a trickle now runs through the dry season, serving 46 households in Bhimeshwar.
When the water user committee first measured the spring in 2079 it was giving less than half a litre a minute in Chaitra. This year the dry-season flow was over three litres a minute.
Since 2080 the committee has dug 38 recharge ponds and 2.4 km of contour trenches on the slope above the spring, planted it and closed it to grazing.
