Forestry & nursery volunteer

Kavrepalanchok 2–6 weeks

Nursery work, monsoon planting drives and survival counts with forest user groups.

Organic farming trainer

Sindhuli 1–3 months

Composting, bio-pesticides and vegetable planning with farmer field schools.

Spring-shed survey assistant

Dolakha 4–8 weeks

Spring discharge measurement, mapping and recharge-pond supervision.

Translation & documentation

Remote or Kathmandu Flexible

Nepali–English translation of reports, case studies and farmer manuals.

Photography & communications

Remote / field visits Flexible

Field photography, short video, report layout and social media.

GIS & data support

Kathmandu 2–6 weeks

Forest-cover mapping, monitoring dashboards and survey data cleaning.

Before you apply

A few honest notes

  • Field placements are in hill wards — expect steep walking, monsoon leeches and patchy network.
  • We do not charge volunteer fees, and we do not arrange tourist itineraries.
  • Accommodation and local transport are covered; international travel is not.
  • Every volunteer signs our Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Placements under two weeks are rarely useful to the community, so we seldom accept them.
