Community Forestry & Restoration · सामुदायिक वन तथा पुनर्स्थापना
Nepal’s community forestry movement is one of the world’s great conservation stories, and it is still being written in the villages. We work with community forest user groups to restore degraded slopes, manage forests fairly and earn a living from them.
Each restoration plan starts with the user group’s own map of what the forest gives them — fodder, firewood, timber, medicinal plants and water. We then raise native seedlings in local nurseries, plant with the monsoon and count survival for three years.
Restricted giving is welcome — tell us the ward and we will report back on it specifically.
